“Having been involved with them for five years or more on the other programmes, we wanted to have them with us on this as well.
“We’d worked with them before and knew exactly how good they are, but more than that we wanted to keep working with them and get them involved with what we knew to be a very exciting project. “When we came to form Barking Angel (Jupp and Agnew’s production team) and start work on this project, we wanted to use people like Ciaran and Darragh,” she says. “We’re running with the first eight episodes and then we’ll see where we take it.”ĭespite all the cutting-edge interactivity, Po5t has at its heart solid dramatic performances from its young cast, many of whom Jupp has worked with before.

“The BBC tried something similar with a show called Dubplate Drama, which had a system which involved viewers phoning in to vote on how they thought the series should end and it’s debatable exactly how well that worked. “We’re not going to go as far as to offer them any chance to really influence the storyline, because that just becomes a nightmare for the director and the actors. “Whether they think our characters’ actions are believable, whether they agree with what they’re seeing on screen. “We’re looking to find out what the viewers are thinking,” says Jupp. Because the innovative thing about it, apart from the super-short running times and the online-only broadcast, is that its audience is being invited to comment on the drama as it progresses and interact with the filmmakers.
